When you launch the FlashBack Express Recorder this is the main window. Nice, clean and simple. As you can see there are three options to record your screen

- Region – It records a smaller region on your screen
- Window – It can record and focus on only a specific window
It also allows you to record a sound via microphone or PC speakers. Those can be balanced as well.
To start recording, simply press the record button.
After the “Record” button is clicked the application will start a counter. It servers to remind you to get ready. Once the counter ends, the screen recording starts. There is a nice little message on the bottom saying: To stop recording press Shift + Ctrl + S.
You may want to start the recording from their system tray menu. This is because once you start the recording process, a small window will pop up to accompany the process. If you want to avoid any additional window on your recording area, you might want to either:
- Set up a recording shortcut
- Start screen recording from the system tray menu
